Can you carry perfume in cabin baggage?
Yes. Air India and IndiGo currently publish a maximum container size of 100 ml for liquids in ordinary cabin baggage screening. All compliant containers must fit comfortably inside a transparent, resealable 1-litre bag.
The container size matters. A 120 ml bottle with only 20 ml of perfume left can still be rejected because the bottle itself is larger than 100 ml.

How many perfume bottles can you carry?
There is no useful universal rule such as “three bottles.” In cabin baggage, every bottle must be 100 ml or smaller and all of your perfumes plus other liquids, gels and aerosols must fit within the prescribed liquids bag.

Is perfume allowed in check-in baggage?
Yes. Checked baggage is normally more practical for bottles larger than 100 ml, although airline dangerous-goods limits still apply. IndiGo currently lists perfume and deodorant as permitted in checked baggage up to 2 litres or 2 kg total per passenger, with no single article exceeding 500 ml or 500 g.

Should perfume go in cabin or checked baggage?
If the bottle is 100 ml or smaller and you have room in your liquids bag, cabin baggage is often safer for fragile glass because you keep it with you. For a larger bottle or several bottles, checked baggage may be more practical.
